Annapolis Basin Outdoor Adventures Society (ABOA) is a not-for-profit volunteer organization focused on development and maintenance of active outdoor recreational infrastructure in the region of the Annapolis Basin. ABOA advocates for, develops, and maintains trails to meet the needs of active non-motorized outdoor recreational communities. ABOA also provides opportunities for community-building and stewardship through participation in recreation and events.

Upper Clements Trails opened in June 2023 with 8 km of volunteer-built, multi-use single- and double-track trail for mountain bike, hiking, trail running, winter activities, and other non-motorized recreation. A second phase saw the trail network grow to over 14 km total by the end of 2023.

Upper Clements Trails has proven to be very popular with locals and visitors alike, and is a true four-season trail destination. A third phase of trail development is planned in 2024.

ABOA is pleased and grateful to work in partnership with the County of Annapolis to develop outdoor recreation alternatives and encourage active lifestyles.

ABOA recognizes the support of the Province of Nova Scotia. We are pleased to work in partnership with the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage to develop and promote our cultural resources for all Nova Scotians.

ABOA acknowledges that we live, work, and play in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.
